If I tell you that I have had some time on a beach, I wonder what comes to your mind. Blue skies, fluffy white clouds, soft sand and gentle waves playing with your toes perhaps? Unfortunately, my time on the beach was nothing like that.
It was a grey day that just kept getting greyer. Then it started raining. While walking away I noticed some lovely patterns made by raindrops falling into shallow patches of water. Getting down low to try to make the most of them, I took the photo below.
I like the drama in this rendering, but you may be thinking that the sense of greyness is only there because it is presented as a black and white photo. In case you are, here is the full-colour version.
As you can see, it was just as I described. A grey day. In fact, it was the greyest of grey days.
