Mount St. John

Mount St. John reaches approximately 4000ft above the valley floor of Jackson Hole, which is just about the same depth as the Grand Canyon. It’s many ridges form a pattern of lines that are most prominent in the low light of dawn. This impressive mountain is named in honour of Oreste St. John, the field geologist who travelled with the Hayden Surveys of the Yellowstone and Grand Teton areas in 1877 and 1878.
