In autumn this viewpoint is so crowded at sunrise that it is literally elbow room only. However, on this dull spring morning it was empty. My efforts were rewarded by a tiny hole in the cloud cover, which allowed light to punch its way through at just the right time. Red alpenglow contrasting with cool overcast light created a few seconds of interest, before fading away to grey.
