Wild Daffodils
(Narcissus pseudonarcissus)

Wild daffodils were one of the most widespread and common spring flowers until the mid-1800's. For not fully understood reasons its distribution went into a steep decline, and by the mid-1900's it's distribution had become curiously patchy and disjointed. Becoming quite rare across stretches of England and Wales. Now people consider it a worthwhile effort to travel long distances to view a host.
