Creeping Buttercup
(Rannunculus repens)

Creeping buttercup is a common wildflower of damp woods, gardens and waste places. It is remarkably resilient and thrives in all kinds of grasslands. Seen en-masse they bring a blast of colour to flower meadows. Used by children the world over in a game of holding a flower under the chin: if a yellow glow reflects off the skin the subject likes butter.
