The Provençe chalkhill blue is restricted to a very defined range that stretches from northern Spain, across southern France and into Northern Italy. It frequents open sunny meadows and grassy hillsides bedecked with flowers, anywhere between sea level and 1000m. It looks very like the chalkhill blue but where the species overlap flying times are different.
