Escher’s Blue
(Agrodiaetus escheri)

This is a widespread and common butterfly that spans the divide between Europe and Africa. It prefers upland areas up to about 2000m, where it is most common. However, it can be found down to sea level where it frequents hay meadows, and flower-rich grassy places.
