Clouded Yellow
(Colias croceus)

The clouded yellow is a permanent resident of the Mediterranean region, producing several broods each year. It is an active and fast-flying butterfly that moves northwards each spring, reaching all parts of Europe except for the far north, although the actual numbers of butterflies reaching northern regions vary enormously from year to year.
