Young Seagull

Gulls are often politely ignored by many bird watchers, simply because they can be difficult to identify correctly. Immature gulls amplify this problem by a factor of ten. The journey to adulthood for gulls includes almost continual plumage changes, resulting in a massive potential for incorrect identification. The bird flying here is definitely a young herring gull; or something else.
