Heavy snowfalls buried moorlands beneath a record breaking layer of dense snow from mid-November onwards. Along with mercury-plummeting temperatures this winter has definitely succeeded in getting itself noticed. Despite this, resilient red grouse continue to go about their business as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened.
